Richard "Bazz" Barrington-Hill

Bazz

I’ve been playing Guitar and singing since I was 15, and writing songs since I learnt 3 chords that went in order. Unlike Status Quo, however, I decided to learn a 4th chord, and after that, well I just couldn’t stop.

The band has been a massive labour of love for me, and right now, it’s as good as it gets. I’m surrounded by musicians who refuse to sit on their laurels or just play what they’ve been asked to - they’re putting their own creative spin on things, changing the songs up, as well as helping me write new material.

I’m personally inspired and influenced by a multitude of bands and styles, ranging from Radiohead to The Prodigy and I hope that every band I’ve enjoyed listening to comes across in our music in some way.

This band is due big things, and if we stick together and work hard we’ll achieve them.

Thanks for your continued support – we honestly couldn’t do this without you lot!

I’ve been playing drums for about six years now, fully self taught. I have always said that to be taught by someone else is to be taught someone else’s style, and I want to be known for my own style of drumming. My main influence is U2; to me the drummer is a perfect musician. He keeps it nice and simple with a few tricky bits, but not too much that he becomes the forefront of the band. I hope that’s how I come across in this band.

I’ve been with Rhesus about a year now and really enjoy being part of such a great band, surrounded by dedicated and talented musicians. I know this band are destined for great things, it’s just a matter of time!

Lindsay "True Brit" Barrington-Hill

Linds

I’m originally from New Jersey, born and raised American. Even my bass is a special order short-stack shipped in from America. Hey, who said you can be too patriotic?

I have a long running background in music. I’ve played cello for 15 years, guitar for 13 years and a bit of piano on the side.

I moved to England after graduating Uni and three months on I was suckered into playing in Rhesus.

I was made to stand in for the bassist when his wife had a baby, and despite never playing bass before, I learned 8 songs in 3 weeks for the gig.

Needless to say I was terrified, but I learned the songs, played the gig, and a year later they can’t get rid of me.

With every song we create and every gig we perform, I develop my playing and fall more and more in love with the bass.

We’re really on a roll now with getting our music out there and I can’t wait to see where we end up.

Ben "Not Matthew" Kelly

I've been playing guitar for around 3 years now, mostly self taught after a terms worth of school lessons I decided that I would prefer to teach myself. I have spent many hours locked in my bedroom practicing songs just to improve my technique from all different genre’s of music.

I play mostly rhythm with a bit of lead thrown in every now and again.

I am inspired by bands such as Alter Bridge, Muse and Guns N’ Roses but I still like to try and come up with my own style of playing.

I’m in this band with people who are so dedicated and focused on what they do, it makes the whole experience so much more fun and rewarding. I’m looking forward to seeing where the band will be going in the future, hopefully to bigger and better things.
