Afternoon all, Just a quick update (yes they do happen occasionally!) The line up for the 6th of December has been finalised. We have a great mix of young up and coming talent and established bands. The line up is as follows: Nonentity Crimson Circle http://www.myspace.com/crimsoncircle Rhesus It should be a great night and I hope you all come down. Stay tuned, there will be a bigger update later this week.

Firstly, the new rhesus site is up and can be found here: Rhesus. I'll be the first to admit it's lacking in content at the moment, but with videos, images and more to be uploaded before December it'll be rocking in no time. Had a chat with the band and we decided we wanted more Country wise exposure, and as such have made a decision to go on a mini tour of the Country next February/March time. We'll be gigging in a different part of the Country every week, and hopefully will spread the Gospel of Rhesus to many a new fan. The December 6th Gig at the Mitre in Stourbridge should be fantastic. The support bands are being confirmed at the moment and I'll let you know the minute it's finalised. You can choose to buy either Blue tickets for £3 which allow entry to the gig or Red ...

When I started this blog I decided it would be updated EVERY week at a minimum, and more where possible. Today is a week since the last blog, so if you've been patiently waiting, I apologise. The band is in an interesting little status quo at the moment; a lot is happening, yet not much is happening. I'll list everything off the top of my head as I'm far too lazy to write in continuous prose. The CDs are ready. Yes, finally, they're all packaged and printed and ready for sale. You can listen to them for free on our myspace - rhesus myspace - and they'll be available to buy at our gigs from now on for the bargain price of £3. We intend to launch them at our gig at The Mitre (December 6th - £3 entry) but if you're lucky you may be able ...

We're trying now to get the band's name and music out there to the public, and Kieran has been hot on the case. Thus far, he's gotten loads of contacts to radio stations, newspapers, etc and has been on the verge of harassment via email with them all. If you don't already know, we have been interviewed and played (live acoustically, and a few recorded tracks) on Stourbridge radio, 102.5FM ‘The Gridge'….I mean ‘Bridge'. That was fun and all, but we decided it was time to spread our wings. This last Saturday we were played on Beacon Radio, 97.2FM with DJ Andy Nash We are the first local (and UNSIGNED) band to be played in years, or ever, we don't know. They played So Alone after a quick chat with Rich and we got a GREAT response on the texts afterward. Oh, and I QUOTE, “Rhesus are dead good in my ...

New Website.

The new rhesus website is nearly finished. It's been a long time coming, and we're launching it in stages. Firstly we'll launch a basic version of the site, then slowly we'll add more dynamic content as time goes on. The web has changed a lot since the last real rhesus website was up and running, and I intend to take full advantage (within reason) of modern technologies. The problem with modern technology of course, is every time you add something you risk alienating someone. For example, this site will use Javascript. I've always avoided javascript in the past as 5% of browsers that visited our site had it turned off, and it's not good business sense to turn 5% of business away - however that stat is now at about 0.5% and I've opted now to use nice degradable Js, if you have Js blocked or turned off, the ...
