It's half past nine on Friday night and I'm writing this offline, in the car on a tiny bluetooth keyboard for an iPad. (I knew I should have bought the eee transformer [Wayne's World]It will be mine, oh yes.[/Wayne's World]). I've explained this to you so you know why this is such a short post. The lovely Lindsay is doing the driving and thus far it's been a swerve free journey. Which helps, unlike this midget keyboard which I'm convinced is ergonomically designed for malnourished children. That or Odd Job. Or Nick Nack. Two Bond references already. Awesome. Allow me to explain to you how we got here and the plan for the weekend. Last year we entered a Pepsi Max competition to win a music video. Ironically you had to enter a music video in order to win one, and we didn't have one. We did, however, have plenty of footage of the band ...

HELLO AGAIN!! As you may or may not know, we won the Pepsi Max music video challenge! Well, we were one of the winners, so we've been awarded a £3k professional music video directed and edited by the wonderful boys at Channel Flip. We are currently on our way back from London Town now after a very successful chat with the Channel Flip guys. They were brilliant; very welcoming, funny, and they gave us beer, so we're all really looking forward to working with them. The entire drive down we brainstormed a more detailed story board for our basic music video idea. When we got there, we decided to listen to what they had come up with first. Our idea? Yeah, that's gone back into the ideas bank. We're going with theirs. They made some really good points, and had us heading in a totally different direction by the end of the ...

As you may or may not have heard, we reached the final of the Walsall unplugged competition. Kieran isn't a fan of playing unplugged, but he arrived at my house nice and early holding what I believe to be an Indian tabla drum. We ate Bacon and set off down the motorway to Walsall. A short while later we got to the old square shopping centre and were greeted by a Beacon radio stage. The stage was small, the lights were a gazillion degrees and we were ready! Three songs later (So Alone, Morals and Hey) we were finished. I can honestly say I've never felt more like Tiffany in my entire life. We played a decent set, but obviously it would have been much nicer to play full band. The band following us turned up. Full drum kit, stacks the works. The absolute gits. ;) We've watched a few of the other acts, ...

Eck! The final day of the recording of Murdoch Drive is here. We've been at Parlour Sound Recording Studios for 20 days now, and it's been a blast - hard work, but a blast nonetheless. So how's it's sounding I hear you ask? Fan-bloody-tastic. But you'll have to wait a while before you find out, we have all sorts of things to get done - photoshoots, cover artwork, mastering and all that shite before we're ready to launch - but to find out information before everyone else join our newsletter (use that green box in the top right!) In between recording, fighting the monster and working hard for the rhesus cause, what's occurred? Well let me tell you...

So we've made it through the recording process. Now we'll spend the rest of the week mixing the songs to get all the levels and sounds right. Neil is doing all the hard stuff, we just get to go in and say what we like, what needs to be changed, and what just sounds amazing. While Neil is working his bollocks off, we're doing the same by taking the rest of the week to tie up loose ends, keep working on some design pieces, make sure we blog and update the fans on what we're up to, and we're getting together some more video clips to post (hopefully) in the next blog.
